Trip To Jakarta!

Hey hey hey! Good morning, guys! I mean, it's really in an early morning! Ehm, wonder why do always my body turn out to be hard to get sleepy after had a tiring day? Well, it's quite gloomy and blue before. Ehem, I am talking about my last post, hahaha, so let's forget about it and move on with another happier story to tell. ðŸ˜Š

Let's see what I have for you, guys..

Tada! I've just uploaded a new video at my YouTube channel. Maybe you guys want to give a glimpse into it, hehehe. Talking about this video, there was another fun and hilarious journey I had with my friends to Jakarta behind it. Not forget to mention, it was free! So, I had tell about the scholarship I got months ago that made me so thankful & reminded me about my parents. Yep, that was it. After got the scholarship, all of the scholarship grantee was invited by the company to come to the gathering event at Jakarta about a month before the due date. It was also mentioned that we would get reimbursement for the transportation's fee after we arrived there. In other words, we are going to have a free trip. The amount of the reimbursement were decided by the distances from the hometown of the University to Jakarta as the destination city.

I went there by the airplane along with my classmates & junior. They were Tara, Hisyam, Cecen, Rety, and Andini. We departed from Juanda Airport Surabaya at Friday, 10th February and arrived on the same day at Soekarno Hatta Airport Jakarta. Then, we took a cab to get to the Gathering's venue, at Eco Park Ancol, precisely. After arrived at Ancol, we ride on Wara-Wiri Bus, a free bus to accommodate the visitor inside Ancol. Then, we arrived at the Eco Park. By the way, we dropped off at the wrong bus stop, so we still had to walk for some miles (hahaha, ndak juga sih). But, it was fine, because we through a very nice environment to get to the hotel. We also saw some animals, pond, lot of plants & trees. It's a bit windy at Jakarta that evening. Hisyam and Cecen got new friend, he is Hamid from University of Indonesia, actually we also took the same bus, but he didn't talk too much. We also met friends from our university that took a different accommodation with us. After checked in, we got some merchandise and vouchers for tomorrow's breakfast & dinner. Then, we entered the room. It was a big room for 40 people, the bed was laid in order. We had about an hour to clean & have a pray. Then, we took our dinner and went to a place. It was in front of a stage where we can eat while listen to a live music performance. The band was so good, to be honest. Hahahah. But we annoyed by the cat's poop around this area. Yuck! After walked around, we back to our hotel & slept.

The second day, me, Tara, Rety, and  Andini woke up so early in order to can take a bath, because they were only 3 bathroom. We took a bath at about 3 AM. Guess what, they were already queue for showers. After had a breakfast, we had a kind of "talk show" session, which talked about two topics. They were "Professional Communication" and "Leadership". It was an interesting topics with great speakers! (and also beautiful & powerful lecturer.) Such an inspiring talk. I wish I can be like them too, just wait. By the way, it was mostly raining all day long. Luckily, I brought my thin jacket inside my bag. After have done the session at Ancol, we divided into 3 bus, and went to Bintaro, Tangerang Selatan. It was an area which developed by the company along with the province government. There were many of Pembangunan Jaya's business branch at there. We visited the Sport Center which used specifically for Badminton Training. There were some Indonesia's Badminton Legend who greeted us, such us Mrs. Imelda Wigoena & Mrs. Rosiana Tandean, the PB Jaya Raya's director, and also the athlete under the guidance of this club. They have joined the club since such a young age and wander from their hometown. What makes this club special, that this club does not forget about the academic's stuffs of their athletes, so they made school and its own curriculum that would fit with the athlete's tight schedule of training & competition. From the Sport Center, we went to Jaya International School, which is a very guwd school. I wish I could sign in my future children to a school like that. The school has a very complete facilities and also runs with an interesting system. Lastly, the journey's session ended at Bintaro XChange Mall. We got a greeting from the director then we also given a 100k voucher that we can use to buy either food, clothes, shoes, etc. (It supposed to buy a dinner, but most of us used it to buy things). At 9.30 PM the bus headed to go back to the hotel. And it took around half and an hour from Bintaro to Ancol through the city's highway. The second day was a long day but luckily it passed in a blink ;)

The last day, we still had so many breakfast's vouchers left. That's why, we bought some more foods than yesterday. I bought, fried rice with an extra egg and crackers, orange juice (which turned out to be as same as lime juice. Surprisingly sour! but still alhamdulillah), and also a chocolate waffle. After finished our breakfast, we walked around the dock near to our eating place. We saw fishes and took some photos. Not long after that, we were commanded to go back to the hotel, got prepare for the out bond session. We didn't allow to bring important things as it was raining outside. The out bond went so fast due to the short time left for it. We divided into different group, different universities. We played some games, which were funny and I had never play some of them before. After finished the out bond. We back to the meeting point. There were the winner's announcement. My group got the third place, yaay! Then, there were closing session and we got certificates based on our universities. After that, we all packed our stuffs and prepared to go to Dufan. The third day ended by enjoying playing at Dufan. We tried rides, we went back to the hotel. Took our bags and ate foods from Hisyam's parents. By the way, it was raining so bad at night for about an hour. Lastly, we went straight to the airport. Waited our flight which was still at 4AM, that means.. yap, we slept at the airport! Hahahaha. I had a good sleep though. I slept at the waiting's bench and woke up right on 3AM because it was cold brrr! Then, we checked in and took wudhu, since it has not been Subuh at that hour.

That's the end of my story, wkwkwk. After arrived at home, I slept from 8AM to 2PM. :p

What's next

Be Ready for AEC 2015 !

During the holiday, I spent a lot of my time in home, so my routine to read the newspaper is also back. Most time while reading a newspaper, i only read the highlight, the article which's also provided with an image, or something that really catch my attention, because I think, something that colorless is just not quite interesting to read, haha.

But, last time, i found a good article. It was an opinion from the writer about the President's election- which is one of the candidate who lost the election, ask for repetition to Mahkamah Konstitusi Indonesia. In the last part of this article, which said something close to this (sorry, I could not find the newspaper),

"..instead of making fuss about comparisons of election results, which will be splurging money, time, effort again. It's better to receive the results and accept who is the chosen president now. Anyway, if we want to save or make Indonesia as the number one country, we must not be as a President, right? Thus a successful entrepreneur, or being clever students who win at international level, or being a citizen of Indonesia which have the same mindset to build a better Indonesia, can also help our Country being the number one. Now, there is a more important issues that heading ahead us. Indonesia's government better immediately prepare itself for ASEAN Community 2015, which is already right in sight. "

Right in that time, I said like, "NHAAHH NHAAHHH." I just can't not agree anymore. I've been spending a month in home and have my reading newspaper's routine back, but I hardly found any article which specially talk about AEC issue.. I think, Indonesian needs to know more about AEC 2015 because, when this gate of economic community finally opened, the wave of trade whether trade of goods/worker/etc will freely happening in our country.

In my opinion, AEC 2015 will  give a positive impacts if we all have been made a good preparation and fully ready to face it. Such as, our country has a good infrastructure and our country has a high quality human resources. So, as the participant we can take an advantage of it, and not being fooled/disadvantaged from this system. Imagine, when people from other ASEAN countries come to our country, then they do have a higher grade/ability than our citizens, so they're appreciated in our country, they become a leader, they opened many companies, they permanently run a business in here. It's a bad idea. We're only being a servant in our OWN country when we supposed to be THE KING here. And there's a BIG probability of that to be happened in this free economic community, if we all not well-prepared.

Don't you think, It is a serious matter, guys? For me, it's yes.

Sometimes, Indonesia's people are to concern with their internal issues- we keep criticizing about this and that, but we are not give and make any solution, and then we forget that there are another challenge of time that will keep coming toward us.. :)

We should  take more care about it, as a student, we can make a little preparation at least for ourself.
Such as;
  • keep improving our foreign language skill,
  • make good grades in every subject,
  • keep update to the latest issue that happens near us,
  • have a wide social community,
  • surround yourself with positive people,
  • etc.
Still curious about AEC 2015? Just Google it, guys! Do find more and more about it yah! And also spend your time to watch this video too, okey? :)

The Air of Freedom

Mengapa aku mengatakan begitu?

Dan menurutku itulah keasyikan dari menulis, you don't need anyone's approval, you just write what you want to write, you just write what you want to relieve, you just write what your heart's says. :)

:) Akupun sama.

As a reader, you hold your own choice for what you want to read. :)

Pendidikan.

"Kamu ga nyatet?"
"Enggak udah aku foto kok."
"Yaudah aku nanti nyalin ya."

"Kamu ga ndengerin?"

Sama seperti, a i u e o ba bi bu be bo dalam Bahasa Indonesia, yang seterusnya akan terpakai ketika kini pun kita berbicara ataupun membaca.

P.S: i found a very good article just couple weeks after i wrote this post. You must also read it peers. click here! :)

Tapi, yah.. gabisa munafik sih. Tanpa uang, somehow, kita jadi kurang punya taring

Kenapa  perlu berpikir mahasiswa-is?

Be someone a little braver..

"Ketika kamu belum berani berbicara.

Sedikit namun begitu memotivasi. Buat saya, words have power. Apalagi real action. Apapun medianya, berorasi, menulis, menyumbang, kampanye, dan sebagainya. Semoga, saya bisa lebih mahasiwa-is kedepannya.

Jadi ?
Akankah kita menjadi pemuda sebagai potensi negara ?
Atau pemuda sebagai sumber permasalahan sebuah negara ?
Kita sendiri yang tentukan.
Semoga kita bisa menjadi insan yang berguna.

Flood Problem in Jakarta

img source: google.com

Today, I'm going to talk about recent hot issue in most of Indonesia's news shows, flood problem that happens in Indonesia, mostly at Jakarta. Nowadays, flood in Jakarta happens annually, even, it's getting worse and worse - every year, who should to be blame on? Let's take a look first on what factor cause this happened, in my point of view..

1. Excess of Population -> too many construction -> green area decrease
As the capital city of Indonesia, where all forms of activities centered here, Jakarta become a city with the most society numbers. with total area: 664,01 km2 Jakarta has patch 9.809.857 society, and has a big differences numbers of society with another cities in Indonesia, and now Jakarta is already classified as  a megapolitan city.

With these numbers, absolutely Jakarta should grown with many buildings to support the human's activities. Places to work, residential, Mall, stadium, apartments, etc. Which make its green area, trees, plants, forest, reduced year by year along with the increase of the population. Whereas, green areas with plants and trees in there are important place for nature balance. With the presence of trees, whenever the rainy season's coming, it could help soak the water that falling, and decrease the chance for flood disaster.

Now, the green area that available in Jakarta is only 10% of its total area, which ideally it should be 30% .

2. Disposal system
With those high numbers of society sure it will produce massive garbage in Jakarta. With no good disposal system, it could make a worse condition for Jakarta. Garbage maybe an unimportant things in human's life, it's something that can't be used anymore, it's stink, dirty.. then people throw it away~~pew~~ anywhere, in road, in school, in river, in canal~~ without thinking what may coming up next~~ especially, in rainy season.

Government should provide a good disposal system in Jakarta. They should find most effective and quickest way to anticipate the amount of litter from the society. Government should provide numbers of trash can in ways for every some meters. in crowded place. So, society have more will to throw them in the right place.

3. Geographical location + bad drainage system
The geographical location is one of largest cause why Jakarta gets a flood every year. Placed after Bogor which in higher level from Jakarta makes Jakarta got its descendant water flows. The bad news is, Jakarta already in bad condition with factors i earlier said.

Actually it won't really impact to Jakarta if only Jakarta already has a good drainage systems. Every year, with the increase of population, the width of drainage canals are getting smaller and smaller while the water capacity that come's getting higher.. Plus if the drainage system in there nearly broken by ages factor, it will make the condition worse.

What should we do?
It's kind of hard question to solve. Since, we all know, how big matters that made Jakarta having this flood attack every year. We can't blame the high rain intensity, we shouldn't be, because rain is Allah's giving.. So if it becomes a disaster, who else to blame? It's ourself.. as human, who actually caused this. Jakarta already broken the nature being in there until it isn't balance anymore. Too many deforestation. Too many green area used for buildings. Not only that, I get a lil bit disappointed every time I watch a television program that reporting Flood in Jakarta, and the host said..
"Wish the Jakarta's Government could quickly overcome this problem.."

Wait a minute. So you just hoping the Government is the one who should take an action here? and you wish this problem will be finished? How much time you wish it would take, if you're hoping like that?

Let's counting, how many Government's people that can take action? And how many Jakarta's residents that can take action? It won't ever make sense when you're wishing just The Government that should take an action to overcome this problem and the society not. You're all living in that area together. You produce the garbage, you used the land for making home, you keep coming there with hope that you'll get a better economy, life, etc and when the problem comes up..you're just hoping the Government will finished it...

We all can start helping by doing little things.. Like, don't ever throw garbage anywhere. throw it at the trash can. Or maybe reuse it for something useful again. It's only a simple thing :)
Maybe we don't notice it, when we throw a piece of plastic in a canal.. and we think,
"ah it's not a big thing. nothing will happen"
But, how if you keep doing it once every 5 days, multiply it into a month, and a year, and 9.809.857 head. Is it still won't make big thing happen again?

For bigger solutions.. there're must be a lot. but i believe, most of them will take times. because, the problems're in huge scale.

1. Do transmigration -> equalization of population -> equalization development
Indonesia is a big country. It contains of..many region. Java, Borneo, Papua, Sumatera, Sulawesi. But, all the society mostly concentrated in Java. Why? Because, the development in this country's uneven. Imagine, if every region in this country, happening an equal development's grade.. The society's numbers. The economy's growth numbers. The resources exploration rate.
Not only the flood matter that will be solved, but also the others problems, such as reduce the unemployment numbers, reduce the traffic jam in high ways, and so many else in the future.

2. Do the vertical's direct construction
One of my college's teacher, in Transportation Building major, ever told me.. as the society growth and the need of massive public facilities's getting higher. We should take an advantage of the vertical's direct construction. vertical's direct is unlimited space that we can used. Like, in developed country, as Japan, American already did. it will surely take times until Indonesia can become like this below.. but.. hey, nothing's impossible ;)
*)P.S: if you don't understand what I mean, these're the examples of vertical's direct construction

japan's highway (img src: google.com)
Dubai Marina Real Estate Apartment (img src: google.com)

Los Angeles's Highway (img src: google.com)

3. Repair/rebuild, and keep maintenance the drainage system
Since, the drainage system like, water pump, flood gate, is still human's production. Slowly, they could get broken by the time. So, people should take a serious maintenance of it. Every 3 month, every 6 month, or every year, maybe. It sure will take cost, but prevention is better than repressive, isn't it?

Compared with the cost that should spend for the maintenance, i'm sure it will less than the cost for keeping back the city condition. less than resident's properties that broken by the flood.

Last but not least.. let's wishing all the best for our brothers and sisters out there.. which was hit by the flood, may you all blessed in Allah's shelter and kindness.. let's save our environment since now.. we are the ones who can prevent ourself from bad things. May Every incident is in Allah's will. but we must make an effort. Take the lesson..and learn from that.. bismillahirohmanirohim.. :)

Heyhoo! Feeling good after waking up, Alhamdulillah still got a chance from Allah SWT to breath the air again today, Wish everyone is in a good health of course ;)

Well, I’m so thankful that I’ve been having good pals around, they’re my college’s friends, tehee. I know that we are so kemriyek most time, but I swear ya, we are good kids. we are just have some trouble on holding to not laughing :)) We already had good times together indeed!

We have schedule on  every Wednesday to try some ‘kuliner’ in our city, Surabaya. In order to not bored for bringing lunch from home everyday. Though, we just only did it for couple times (looking forward for next times ahead yeayyy!), I already had so much funny times with them.

Like… anytime I’m hanging around with them, I could be somebody close to I am. Talk what I wanna talk. Sad. Badmood. Sick. Angry. Makes some jokes till we can’t stop laughing so hard. Shares some stories. Singing with my…ehm..bad voice. Study together. And travel to some places.

On Wednesday two weeks ago, We went to Aiola, since some of us coming from different cities, so they have not been here before. We bought different foods in there, there are Gado-gado, siomay, batagor, mi pitik, nasi goreng, es campur, etc. You only need to pay less than Rp 15.000 to get those yummy meals plus the drink! :9 By the way, we also bought two glasses of chocolate milk and then we drank it together. It’s so ROTFL (even mbak-mbak yang jualan pun ngetawain kita saking kordesnya) Moreover, it’s only a glass that contains of 1 liter milk in there, but there were 7 straws inside, and we must share it for 12 people -_-

On Wednesday weeks ago, me, derai, icha, and bibip went to Soto Ayam Lamongan Cak Har on Jl. Arief Rahman Hakim. By the way Soto is a kind of soup which colored yellow contains of slices of chicken, white noodle, rice, fried union, and koya :9 Best to taste in warm condition and don’t forget to eat them with Krupuuk ya! :9 By paying Rp 14.000 you could felt awesomely full after ate them! since the Soto is really yummy many and …. presented with so many koya zuurrpppp, haaaa heaven of the world ~

on last Friday we went to House of Sampoerna because Derai haven’t gone there. then we continued our journey to Hotel of Majapahit :D Such a beautiful historical place to visit!

House of Sampoerna is an exhibition place of cigarettes producer in Surabaya. Presenting some old photos, furniture, kinds of tobacco, and marching band. There also featured with a digital computer to see videos, photos, and information. On the second floor, there is a place for buying souvenirs and watch the process of cigarette’s making lively! :D

But what most attract us to go there that afternoon is to try the “Surabaya Heritage”, short journey to see some tourist destination in Surabaya by taking on a bus. That friday the schedule written going to Kampung Kraton. Cak Durasim, and City Hall. but sadly we didn’t catch the departure times. Huhuhu. Maybe next time! ;)

Last one is…*drums roll*

Hotel Majapahit Surabaya \m/ One of historical place that still treated well in Surabaya. A hotel where the Holland’s flag teared by Arek-arek Suroboyo accident held. Place that made Surabaya being well known as The city of heroes :) Providing a view of building in Holland’s era. Old yet so classy ;) You could see some nice parks with fountains in the center of it while walking on its classic corridors. Like..you can treasuring back to the past B) Especially when you enter the rest room…uh baby though it feels a bit creepy..you certainly could feels and see how’s the Holland era in there..hrrrr :))
